Eris has been favoring this grooming arch lately.  Not as a way to relieve herself of excess fur (why would a cat use something bought for them for it’s intended purpose?!) but to sit and watch the household go by.  I think it must satisfy her predatory need to be close to action, but “concealed.”

There have been countless cat in boxes videos on the internet (sometimes I wonder if the whole thing in run by cats) including this one showing that it isn’t just house cats that dig them:

But Eris favoring the arch seems to better resemble the cats trapped in a circle as described in this article by the Daily Mail.
